Ooh the biteys. Well, there are four main vampire characters in the Rabbit’s Foot story (which is just a post-apocalyptic setting with some characters in it and no real plot at this point). There’s Dingo, a moody, lonely amnesiac sort of guy who is pretty far out of touch with reality; (Danielle) Carter, who is for all intents and purposes an ambulatory, ghosty-eyed feeding machine that Dingo ineptly shepherds around; Helix, an imposing, remorseless killer who’s been around longer than anyone should, and takes on a kind of warped paternal role with Dingo and Carter; then there’s Arjay, with the messy hair and badly scarred/mutilated face. She’s a pragmatic survivor type whose background in medicine has served her pretty well in being an unholy freak who needs to eat blood. She knows where to buy the best tranquilizers.
I hashed out my own vampire “rules,” borrowing what I liked from various mythologies and making other stuff up. My vampires don’t have fangs, daylight doesn’t kill them but it gives them a splitting headache; moderate amounts of light feel like looking directly into the sun. Because of the circumstances of their world, most of them are basically crazy, filthy homeless people who haunt abandoned cities and form weird cults and don’t play well with others.
I wasn’t sure what to say… I hope it was interesting! Thanks for askin’. :D-
