Internet, I am in a bind- as you may know, I coordinate a creative, collaborative project called the Orange Octopus gender zine that is all about positive celebrations of gender outside of the traditional male/female binary.  The third issue is almost done- but I just found out I am one (one!) page short.  I was planning on getting it printed tomorrow, and so now I’m in a desperate state, and I turn to you…

Does anyone- anyone- have a single-page piece of work- either a poem, prose-bit, short story, drawing, photograph, you name it- that celebrates gender diversity that I could incorporate into the third issue? By participating you get a free copy of the finished zine, full credit, continued use and ownership of your work, etc.

Okay so I’m not trying to push veggiesaurus propaganda on you (I have complicated feels on being a veggiesaurus and they aren’t “I’m better than everyone” feels), but man, this is a great quote applicable to a lot of things. Even non-activism things like making comics! (Which can be an activism thing, but uh.)

Following that blog kinda makes me worry that I look like a self-congratulating tool, but it’s a good source of answers for people who persistently HAVE TO KNOW why I don’t eat certain stuff, since I’m terrible at explaining it in ways that don’t sound like I haven’t thought it through. It can come down to a political discussion at times which makes me intensely uncomfortable and unable to make sense.

So uh, end disclaimer.
